Master & Apprentice Cooking Competition
In our Master & Apprentice Cooking Competition leading local chefs team up with VET in School Culinary students from The Gordon. The chefs mentor and work with their student to compete against another Master & Apprentice team.
The Gordon VET in School Culinary students hail from local secondary collages, Sacred Heart and Northern Bay.
2017 Celebrity Chef - Janelle Bloom
We are excited to announce the festival's 2017 celebrity chef is JANELLE BLOOM, one of this country’s most-loved tv chefs! Janelle is one of the original chefs who inspire viewers daily on the high-rating tv show READY STEADY COOK.
Author, food writer & stylist. She believes good cooking begins with confidence and a little patience. Her recipes are foolproof, easy-to-follow and use seasonal ingredients that are readily available. What’s more, each one has to taste every bit as good as it looks.
Janelle will MC our cooking stage and our Master & Apprentice competition as well as perform 2 cooking demonstrations on the day.
